Feel the Earth. Settle your soul.
The more we push into the digital world, the more we rely on algorithms and platforms to help define and shape us. But digital is a tool, not an address.
Are you exhausted? Is waking up the most stressful part of your day?
At Sequoia Mental Health, we think of fighting burnout as something simple:
a return to something elemental. The invitation is to find yourself outside.
If you are feeling chronic overwhelm, being outdoors in a forest bathing setting can help lower stress hormones and responses, improve your mood, your cognitive ability, and your sleep.
If you want to explore how nature can help you combat burnout, reach out and
we can schedule a free one on one consult to see how I can help.
What is forest bathing?
Forest bathing/nature immersion is not JUST a hike. It is a slow, deliberate walk. Distance does not matter, though most would be less than 2 miles easily. We stop, we reflect and breathe, and return back to the start.
In forest bathing you see nature as the medicine, and the experience is a part of the treatment.
What to bring:
Sunscreen/Bug repellent
A small blanket you can sit on in the event we stop on the walk.
Shoes/clothing that can handle a hike/walk in the woods on unpaved trails.
Water/water bottle.
Benefits of forest bathing:
Decreased stress
Increased energy/focus
Increased memory
Decrease in blood pressure, heart rate
Increased immune response
Improved sleep
