Sometimes to find yourself, you have to go wandering in the woods first.
Therapy is kind of like that.
Services
Individual Therapy
Therapy feels weird. Sometimes it’s intimidating. Think of it less like a clinical setting, and more like sitting by a fire pit talking with someone you trust.
My office is in the works, but I’m in northwest Oklahoma City. We can meet out at a lake, hiking trail, or someplace else if you’d like. If you want the comfort of your own couch, we’ve got you covered with teletherapy if your insurance allows telehealth and I am on their provider list.

Support groups
Currently we are looking to add support groups to our treatment options. Sometimes it’s helpful to find common bonds and know it’s not just you who is working through things. If you’d like to join a support group, please reach out and we can add you to the wait list. We offer support groups for military members, first responders, and are adding group options as time and need allows.
Retreats
If you want a different approach to your treatment, consider a retreat. Each one will be different, but with people who are like minded to your journey. The plan is to attend as a group, make friends along the way, eat great food, enjoy nature and the outdoors, and experience a host of different experiences to help foster your growth and healing. These are still in the works, and will be launching in the coming year.
Sequoia Support Network
Part of Sequoia’s holistic approach is understanding that a number of things can be beneficial, not just therapy. We have a network of trusted partners that offer chiropractic work, somatic body work, brainspotting, and yoga, and we’re happy to introduce you.
A note about insurance…
Sometimes insurance won’t cover mental health issues, or they can limit your treatment until you are formally diagnosed with a disorder. This can prevent people from reaching out I think, as we sometimes feel embarrassed about coming to therapy, and fighting with insurance to get care can keep us from trying.
Currently I am only setup to accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Cigna insurances (but I am adding insurance carriers currently). If you have insurance you want to use, please check with me and I can see if I can setup with your carrier. In the meantime, I have a way to help if you want to use your insurance’s Out of Network benefits.
I can create a specific statement called a superbill that you submit for your insurance for reimbursement purposes. They will reimburse you after meeting your deductible and pay you back at the out of network rate.
