how we work
Sequoia is talk therapy, like you’ve maybe tried, but with a twist:
Nature is the anchor that keeps us grounded, and as such, I believe there is a real benefit being out in nature often. Therapy requires a safe space, but sometimes that space can be on a trail. Wherever you want to meet, we can do so in a way that works for you. Nature exposure is as much a tool that can assist you in healing and grounding yourself. Therapeutic hikes and walks are how we work. We can meet online (telehealth), or we can meet outdoors.
Practically, I utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness based techniques, existential therapy, person centered approaches, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
I will also be offering specialized retreats in 2025.
in-person and remote options
Because we do walking sessions and online sessions we do not currently have an office space. I am located in northwest Oklahoma City. I can meet with you via telehealth online, or we can explore another option that is an ecotherapy approach.
A whole experience that can happen talking about what you want to work on while you’re on a walk outside. It’s really good. But, if that’s not your speed, no worries – we’ve got you covered with teletherapy.
